Programs
Weekend Respite- Our weekend respite program provides a necessary break from the stress of providing care for a highly dependent loved one. Respite is open 50 weekends a year. Clients stay at our facility from 6pm Friday to 6pm Sunday, and staff members assist with daily living skills: toileting, bathing, dressing, medications, feeding, cleaning, etc. All meals and snacks are provided during the weekend. Respite care helps keep family life stable, reduces stress for families as well as clients, and delays or prevents out-of-home placement.
Personal and Supportive Home Care- Our personal and supportive home care program places a caregiver with a specific family, based on the needs of the client. This program selects highly trained caregivers who can assist with the care for your loved one safely in your own home. Home Care provides one-on-one care assisting with housekeeping, shopping, community activities and integration.
Clarke Damon Villa- Have A Heart Inc. and Impact-7 cooperated to build and staff an Adult Family Home in 2004. Located in River Falls this facility is fully handicapped accessible. The home features four bedrooms and provides 24-hour supervised cares in a home atmosphere. Residents are encouraged to be active participants in all decisions. Community activities are supported and encouraged.
Adult Day Care- Our adult day program assists individuals with developmental disabilities to live a fuller life. The staff provides personal cares for clients while engaging them in social and recreational activities. Frequent activities include daily living skills, movies, lunch, work, shopping, walks, bowling, picnics, ball games and many more. This program allows clients to interact with each other and build life long friendships in order to prevent a life of isolation and loneliness.
How is care paid for? Payment questions are addressed on an individualized basis with many payment options available. Have A Heart Inc. accepts payment for adult services from the following sources among others: Community health partnership and community family care, IRIS program, Medicaid, and private pay. Children programs and services are generally paid for by Medicaid and waivered service funding that is determined by the county of residence, or by private pay.
