Have A Heart, Inc. in River Falls is excited to invite adults with disabilities to our themed Respite Care Days this April 2026. These Saturdays are built to give participants a fun place to hang out while giving caregivers a well-deserved break.
Saturday, April 11, 2026 – Down on the Farm
8:30 AM – 3:30 PM | Have A Heart – River Falls, WI
We are celebrating the hard work and fun of farm life! This day is all about the animals, crops, and teamwork found in the countryside. Activities will include:
"Rise and Shine" Welcome: A morning meeting to talk about our favorite farm animals.
Farmhouse Crafts: Making DIY birdfeeders and painting wooden barn art.
Farmer’s Market Snacks: Enjoying fresh apple slices, cheese, and homemade trail mix.
Barnyard Scavenger Hunt: A fun search for "lost" farm animals hidden around the center.
Country Hoedown: A lively session of upbeat music and group dancing.
Wear your favorite flannel shirt, overalls, or boots to join the fun!
Saturday, April 25, 2026 – Love Your Mother (Earth)
8:30 AM – 3:30 PM | Have A Heart – River Falls, WI
Let’s celebrate Earth Day! We are focusing on taking care of our planet and enjoying the beauty of nature. The day will feature:
Earth Day Kickoff: A morning social to talk about ways we can help the environment.
Recycled Art Crafts: Creating beautiful masterpieces using recycled materials.
Outdoor Picnic Lunch: Eating a fresh meal together while enjoying the spring air.
"Pollinator" Relay Races: Fun group games that teach us how bees and butterflies help flowers grow.
Planet Earth Matinee: A relaxing nature movie to end our day of celebrating the world.
Wear green or blue to show your love for the Earth!
