“Wings and Wonders” Adult Respite Care Day
Soar into spring with a day full of feathered fun, creativity, and connection at Have A Heart’s "Wings and Wonders" Bird Migration Festival Respite Care Day on Saturday, May 10, 2025!
Designed especially for adults with physical and developmental disabilities, this uplifting, nature-themed event celebrates the beauty of the season and the incredible journey of migratory birds—right here in River Falls, Wisconsin.
From 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., participants will enjoy a full day of hands-on activities, joyful socializing, and springtime cheer in a supportive and welcoming environment.
🕊️ What’s Taking Flight at the Festival?
Bird-Inspired Crafts
Let your creativity take wing! Participants will make bird feeders, decorate paper birdhouses, and create vibrant bird masks or feathered friends to bring home and display.
Spring Migration Games
Get ready for some light-hearted competition with themed games like Nesting Egg Relay, Feather Toss, Bird Call Bingo, and more—all designed to be accessible and fun for everyone.
Music & Movement in the Meadow
From bird-themed sing-alongs to nature-inspired movement activities, participants can stretch, sway, and groove with music that celebrates the sounds of spring.
Tasty Treats from the Trail
Enjoy refreshing, nature-inspired snacks like fruit nests, trail mix cups, and bird-shaped cookies served picnic-style. It’s a delicious way to take a break and refuel!
Friendship & Fresh Air
The highlight of the day? Making memories and new connections in a bright and joyful setting. Whether you’re chirping with old friends or meeting new flockmates, the spirit of community will be in full flight.
