Heartwarming February 2026 Respite Care Days
Have A Heart in River Falls is delighted to welcome adults with developmental and physical disabilities to two themed Respite Care Days this February 2026. These special Saturdays give caregivers a well-deserved break while offering participants a day filled with social connection, creativity, and seasonal fun in a warm, supportive environment.
Saturday, February 7, 2026 – Sweetheart Social
8:30 AM – 3:30 PM, Have A Heart – River Falls, WI
Celebrate friendship and kindness at our Valentine's-themed Sweetheart Social! It’s a day dedicated to spreading love and joy through creative and social activities. Our schedule includes:
"Cupid’s Cafe" Welcome: A morning social to kick off the day with friends.
Heartfelt Crafts: Creating handmade Valentines and festive decorations.
Sweet Treat Decorating: Designing and enjoying delicious seasonal snacks.
Friendship Games: Interactive group activities focused on connection.
Sweetheart Dance: A light-hearted music and movement session to finish the day.
Participants are encouraged to wear red, pink, or their favorite festive attire!
Saturday, February 21, 2026 – Winter Olympics Day
8:30 AM – 3:30 PM, Have A Heart – River Falls, WI
Go for the gold! Join us for a high-energy Olympics theme where team spirit and personal achievements take center stage. The day will feature:
Opening Ceremonies: A grand kickoff and team parade.
Medal-Worthy Crafts: Making personal torches and gold medal keepsakes.
"Athlete’s Fuel" Refreshments: Healthy snacks and a celebratory beverage bar.
Indoor Olympic Games: Modified "winter" sports and skills challenges.
Podium Celebration: A closing ceremony to recognize everyone’s participation and effort.
Wear your favorite team colors, a sports jersey, or red, white, and blue to show your spirit!
